I started Beautylicous because I am a typical teenage girl who loves everything to do with fashion, hair, make-up, and BEAUTY in general. I personally believe that when you look better you feel better. I have been into beauty ever since I could remember. My mom and 3 aunts of mine are hairstylist. And 2 of my aunts own a franchise of hair salon's here in Chicago. So, I grew up in that atmosphere. I would put on all the make up from the make-up stations at the salons and thought it was amazing to have that much make-up. I would ultimately end up looking like a clown. Now that I am older everything to do with beauty and fashion is amazing to me. There are so many make-up techniques and products out there that will transform you into a whole other person on the outside. My mom had always tought me to stay as authentic as possible, so learning to play with all that and create a more enhanced but still natural me, was my goal. I love it when girls are absolutely gorgeous and look super natural. For example: me and my sister are absolutely obsessed with the show Jersylicious and I love a character named Olivia who is a make-up artist and is super cool and down to earth. Since she is a make-up artist she always has a ton of make-up on. She's always rocking the smokey eye or some other super sophisticated look. On one of the episodes she was chilling at her house with just foundation and a thin layer of eyeliner on(which is NOTHING compared to what she normally wears). I turned to my sister and told her, Oh my goodness, Olivia looks so much better with just a little bit of make-up on. We both started laughing and it was true. She was gorgeous as her natural self. How God had created her, just a little bit enhanced.
Anyways, the last thing I think you should know about me is that I have 5 siblings and I am the second oldest. My oldest sister is 21 and is having a baby in March. I'm super excited.
My faith is a big part of my life. I wouldn't say I'm any religion in specific, I'm just spiritual. I have a deep relationship with my God, Jesus.
